The 146 metre Lürssen superyacht Opera has been spotted heading out on sea trials in the North Sea after leaving the shipyard in Bremen where she was launched in September.
While details remain sparse, Opera is understood to have a 20 metre beam and interior volume exceeding 10,000GT. Her design team remain under wraps, but the yacht’s lines bear a resemblance to a number of Terence Disdale projects.
First-look pictures revealed a pair of helipads on the foredeck and upper deck aft and two swimming pools on the sun deck and main deck, the latter of which has a rise-and-fall floor.
Opera is thought to be a rebuild project of 145 metre Project Sassi, which was destroyed in the 2018 shipyard fire.
The yacht joins nine other in-build Lürssen superyachts, including the 100+ metre Project Alibaba and 145 metre Project Luminance. The 122 metre Project Jag is set to hit the water soon after completing outfitting, with delivery slated for April 2023.
