ROAM has revealed the latest addition to its fleet of go-anywhere adventure vessels – a hardy landing craft capable of transporting toys, guests or even land vehicles from ship to shore.
The workboat-style tender is able to land in difficult spots thanks to a draft of 0.6 metres and its twin hull design. Though designed primarily to accommodate an automobile, the versatile large open aft deck can also act as a refuse and equipment area, people carrier, dive platform or extra alfresco dining space. A drop-down door allows for easy loading and unloading.
The 8.5 metre model has a beam of 3.2 metres and has the capacity to host six guests and two members of crew. Built in aluminium, with naval architecture by Argo Navis, the specialised catamaran can be built to order in as little as six months and is available from 7.5 metres to 11 metres in length.
